We were introduced to Pets 4 U by a friend and that’s where we got our first glimpse of Ginger. She was just a little ball of fur with the most adorable “take- me- home” look in her eyes and THAT was love at first sight!

The proprietor, Mr. Danny Loong was extremely helpful in giving advice on the proper care of such breeds as we had zero experience in handling Toy Poodles. At first we thought that it would be too much extra work in the grooming, house training and other aspects of bringing up a Toy Poodle but let me tell you, it is definitely money well spent.

Ginger instantly became part of the family, sleeping in our bedroom. It only took about a month to house train her and she is such a fast learner. When it’s time to go do her doggie business, she’ll just scratch on the bed. We’ll open the room door and she trots downstairs to her tray and does what she has to do. Then she’ll trot right back upstairs, turn her back to you(indicating ‘wipe my butt’) and goes back to her corner.

Ginger has on many occasions alerted us on strange noises outside the house at odd hours. I also believe that she actually stopped a burglar from breaking into our home via the roof by barking furiously at sounds she heard coming from above. The guy probably had second thoughts after hearing such fierce barking coming from our room!! She is indeed a good girl.

Copper joined the family about six months later. We were at Pets 4 U one weekend and like the first time around, saw a pair of eyes staring at us in the glass enclosure. It was like déjà vu. Same feeling all over again. Took him back with us. Now Ginger has a partner. They are so happy together. And needless to say, Copper is so protective over Ginger. They make a perfect pair.

My elder girl, Phylycia, is especially fond of Copper since it was supposed to be her birthday present. Each day after school, the moment she reaches home, Copper will lick her face clean – his way of greeting her! And he loves doing it. Phylycia has to pull him away to catch her breath, and then Copper continues with his greeting!!

Ginger and Copper really add more fun and laughter in our lives. We love them so much.
We sure hope that one fine day, we’ll have little ‘Ginglets n Copplets’ running around the house ransacking everything in their path and tearing up tissue paper into pieces smaller than you can imagine……..ahhhh…..Toy Poodles……

Thank you, Danny and staff of Pets 4 U for the support and care that you extended to us and especially to Ginger and Copper.

Cheers.
